About contrib
I think it's not correct to put inside nsis distribution the contrib packages that the use can't compile the example.
I've this problem (with last snapshot) with:
AdvSplash
Splash
System

This is my point of view

I have no problems compiling either of these examples. Can you please provide some more details? What error do you get?

The problem list
I've seen it's the same problem!
File: "C:\Programmi\NSIS\Contrib\Makensisw\logo.bmp" -> no files found.

Then you must have installed NSIS only partially. I will try to get things settled with the installer and full/normal installations.

For now, if you want to examples to work you will have to do a full installation of NSIS or at least install MakeNSISw sources.

I've installed nsis without source code.
I think the examples have to work also without source code.
