LANGUAGE FILES HAVE TO BE UPDATED

Post all updated files in this topic

All NLF and Modern UI language files have to be updated to support several new NSIS features. Even if you are not the original translator, please help us with the translations.

NLF files

Modern UI 1.64 language files

Note: Language strings have been renamed, so download a new version from CVS (use NSIS Update) before updating.

LANGUAGE SPECIFIC FONTS

Both NSIS and the Modern UI support language specific fonts now.

NSIS

The default dialog font is 'MS Shell Dlg'.

Modern UI

The default font for the title on the Welcome/Finish page is 'Verdana', the default font for the header title is 'MS Shell Dlg'.

Change fonts

For non-western languages, these fonts might not work properly (especially on Windows 9x/ME).

If you want to change the dialog font, edit the NLF language file (there is more information in the file). You can also change the codepage.

For the Modern UI, add one or more of the following strings to the language file (see the Modern UI Readme for details).

MUI_FONT_HEADERDER
MUI_FONTSTYLE_HEADER

MUI_FONT_TITLE
MUI_FONTSIZE_TITLE
MUI_FONTSTYLE_TITLE

Please test the fonts with both Windows 2000/XP and Windows 9x/ME.

Spanish
Spanish.
Both, nlf and nsh:

Dark Boy has already posted the Spanish translation, is that one correct?

Well the accelerator keys in darkboy version are wrong, and the nsh file fits better in Mexican than in Spanish.

Fixed a bug:

Sorry, now the fixed files:

Thanks :) I will use your version.

Uploaded everything.

Fixed a bug:
1) Mexican Language IS Spanish Language.
2) Is about an average spanish, that means the syntax, dude.

:p

darkboy, check the fixed version.

Sorry this is in spanish: Me refería al dialecto, no me negarás que vosotros llamais a cosas de forma distinta a como lo hacemos en españa. Aquí nunca se diría "casillera" (creo que era así lo que ponias) sino "casilla". Otra cosa, esto no es ninguna competición a si que no te cabrees porque no es mi intención. Si quieres seguimos hablandolo por privado y discutimos tecnicismos.

Brazilian Portuguese Translation:

Updated to Modern UI v.1.64 and a little fix in PortugueseBR.nsh.

Whoops, I forgot a thing in PortugueseBr.nsh!

orfanik, you forgot to set accelerators.

Greek language files updated :)

Joost, do you already have a Dutch version?

Die maak ik natuurlijk zelf :)

Dan is het goed. Had ik nou effe nooit gedacht een Nederlandse Developer te zien op het forum, toen ik er twee jaar geleden kwam! ;)

Sorry folks. I just told Joost that I never tought that I would see a Dutch developer here!

My editor deleted all blanks at the end of lines.
Attached new version.

4 files updated (in 1 zip), including

SimpChinese.nlf
SimpChinese.nsh
TradChinese.nlf
TradChinese.nsh

for Joost,

following section seems suitable for add a hotkey (for hotkeys_Maniacs such as me ^_^). It still works fine on the checkbox.

!insertmacro MUI_LANGUAGEFILE_STRING MUI_TEXT_FINISH_RUN "Run ${MUI_PRODUCT}"
!insertmacro MUI_LANGUAGEFILE_STRING MUI_TEXT_FINISH_SHOWREADME "Show Readme"

to following..

!insertmacro MUI_LANGUAGEFILE_STRING MUI_TEXT_FINISH_RUN "&Run ${MUI_PRODUCT}"
!insertmacro MUI_LANGUAGEFILE_STRING MUI_TEXT_FINISH_SHOWREADME "&Show Readme"

TradChinese, SimpChinese are already add this hotkey.

Done :D

Brazilian Portuguese Translation:

Added hotkeys for "Mostrar Leiame" and "Executar o ${MUI_PRODUCT}" strings.

Hmmm... Can be more good by this way:

!insertmacro MUI_LANGUAGEFILE_STRING MUI_TEXT_FINISH_SHOWREADME "Show &Readme"

What you think about?

That would clash with "&Run Program".

Yep, this is really, so I've changed the PortugueseBR.nsh file again:

Spanish
Spanish.nsh:
- Added accelerator keys to "&Ver Léame" & "&Ejecutar ${MUI_PRODUCT}"
- "Léeme" -> "Léame".
Spanish.nlf:
- Some words changed.

Joost, can you make the "Uninstall from:" text box bigger (in Modern and Default)?, it only shows "Desinstalando" and the correct text is "Desinstalando desde:".

Yep, the same problem exists with the Greek translation too. I had to abbreviate (practically cut off) the words. The same problem appears with the available/required space labels.

The Italian 1.64
In attach.

Fabrizio

P.S. Where have you modify MUI_LANGUAGEFILE_STRING MUI_INNERTEXT_LICENSE_BOTTOM ?

Only a minor change: choose > click. Maybe it's not relevant for the Italian language.

Slovak translation
here is my little slovak contribution, enjoy it!

Joost the spanish translation isn't updated yet

I did update 'em. What's wrong?

Eight posts before I included a modified version with the new accelerator keys and some changes.

Missed that one. I'll upload it.

Polish translation updated, with some addtional corrections.

ANOTHER UPDATE

I have added a Modern UI header text that will be displayed when the installer has been aborted.

Please add the following strings to the Modern UI language file:

MUI_TEXT_ABORT_TITLE "Installation Aborted"
MUI_TEXT_ABORT_SUBTITLE "Setup was not completed successfully."

MUI_UNTEXT_ABORT_TITLE "Uninstallation Aborted"
MUI_UNTEXT_ABORT_SUBTITLE "Uninstall was not completed successfully."

The text of MUI_UNTEXT_FINISH_TITLE has been updated:

MUI_UNTEXT_FINISH_TITLE "Uninstallation Complete"

Note: Language strings have been renamed, so download a new version from CVS (use NSIS Update) before updating.

Bulgarian translation ready and waiting :D

acnapyx: Please check the first post of this topic. You have to make these changes too.

Here is an example of multi-language script whith ukrainian languge

The Modern UI MultiLanguage example contains all languages.

I noticed Kii Ali posted both Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese translations. Kii Ali lives in Taiwan, but Simplified Chinese is wildly used in China mainland. Some words in Simplified Chinese are different from those in Traditional Chinese, such as uninstall, uncheck and Read Me. I modified Kii Ali's Simplified Chinese translation. Please check the attachment.

Let's wait for kiiali's reply :)

Romanian translations v4
Here are the translations for romanian language. There are 2 versions. The normal one that works for NT/2000/XP and a simplified one for Win95/98/ME. (Win9x does not select corectly the codepages)

I suggest keeping both versions.

Archive: IMPORTANT: Language files have to be updated!

Please attach the files.

We can't use two different version. Please try to make it work with both (if the default codepage works, that's ok too).

Please Joost upload spanish.nlf to cvs.

Is not a problem of the codepage, the problem is related to the OS. Windows 95,98 and Millenium have *limited* multilanguage support. Not even the Romanian version of Microsoft Office, they made special fonts for win9x to make the menus work. Why? Simple, the OS menu, dialogs, windows doesn't handle correct the codepage.

This problem is not specific to Romanian language that has only 4 new special characters, it is common to other languages.

If you do not want to use the both version please use the simple one that is good for all versions. The old version (v3) was simplified like this.

You didn't attach the file.

Here are the romanian files (V4)

Czech
Seems I am the last one with 1.64 ModernUI translation...

Thanks for making multilng scripts and default registry entries so simply now, Joost!

Zuggy, can you please update the NLF file too?

update both languages to NLF v4 and NSH files
'Chinese (Simplified)'
'Chinese (Traditional)'

Special thanks for Haili's such suddenly found errors.

kiiali, don't you need any custom fonts for the Modern UI?

I have add following strings to NLF, is it correct?

# Header, don't edit
NLF v4
# Language ID
1028
# Font and size - dash (-) means default ¦r«¬¦WºÙ»P¤j¤p
·s²Ó©úÅé
9
# Codepage - dash (-) means ANSI code page ANSI ¦r½X_¶
950
# Translation by Kii Ali <kiiali@cpatch.org>, Revision Date: 2003-05-01

Another issues for "JAPANESE" translation.

# Font and size - dash (-) means default
‚l‚r ‚oƒSƒVƒbƒN (means MS Gothic)

but the new standard I've get, it seems the default font name change to "MS UI Gothic". It means the Japanese new default dialog standard font is NOT use localized name. Can Japanese translator make sure this issue?

refer to:
http://cpatch.org/kiiali/theo/mui/font_choices1.htm

I mean the Modern UI, not the NLF language files. Check the Japanese Modern UI language file. For example, the title font for the Welcome/Finish pages uses 'Verdana' by default, you can change that.

updated with customized fonts in NSH.

portuguese.nlf v4
just noticed the version changed. updated should be ok

1) You forgot to add the LicenseForceSelection items. Check the sticky topic about the language files.

2) Can you also make a Modern UI Portuguese translation (Contrib\Modern UI\Language files)?

working on it, will post it in an hour or so

updated portuguese.nlf, should be fine, working on modern ui now.

PS: could you move this to the "Sticky: IMPORTANT: Language files have to be updated!". i was stupid and posted in the wrong place

1) You still forgot one line: "Log install process", before "# byte". Please compare with the English file.

2) Make sure to add a space after log window items such as "Extrair:", otherwise there won't be a space between : and the filename. Again, check the English file :)

I can't belive it i checked it 2 times  !! i must be going blind.
if this one isn't ok please shot me :(

OK :D Uploaded (and removed some useless spaces).

thanks :), now if only i could finish the modern ui one...

Hungarian.nlf
Hi!

Sorry 1 char missing...here is the right file.

Finnish translation - Done!
Hiya..

I made the Finnish translation. I hope the lang id is correct, but anyway, I've attached the file.

Thanks and bye.

Oh, and be sure to download my avs presets at this URL.

Yeah well.. Here's the attachment, anyway. Sorry. :weird:

1) Please create a v4 translation. Check http://cvs.sourceforge.net/cgi-bin/v...viewcvs-markup and the sticky topic about the language files.

2) Can you also create a Modern UI translation (Contrib\Language files\Modern UI)? Check http://cvs.sourceforge.net/cgi-bin/v...viewcvs-markup

New Swedish language files
Tried to correct some bad Swedish in the previous files
sent in in this thread

:p

FI
Finnish v4 done.
NSIS rocks.

akx, can you also create a Modern UI language file?

Is your translation for byte (t) correct?

I'll do the MUI translation ASAP, post tomorrow.

And yes, it is wholly correct, since "t" is short for "tavu" ("byte").
So... 15 kilobytes = 15 kt in Finnish. Won't delve deeper into intricacies of Finnish :)

MUI/Finnish
Yay! The MUI translation for Finnish is complete.

AKX, Please create a translation of the latest version: http://cvs.sourceforge.net/cgi-bin/v...viewcvs-markup

Check the first post of this topic.

OK, I think I'll be able to upload it... on tuesday, perhaps. Why my translations always are too old? :)

Here is the Macedonian update.

Updated, thanks.

Umm.. Reschedule.. Finnish MUI will be online wednesday (EET).

I rescheduled my reschedule.

Here, finally, is the Finnish MUI translation.

Thank you.

Thanks, added.

Yay!

My little contrib

attached <Portuguese.nsh>

Ok, so AKX's Finnish translation had some youngster "bugs". I somewhat fixed them to make the language more correct... might not be perfect though since it's very hard to translate (so perfect sounding) English IT-words into Finnish
I might take a look at the modern ui translation someday, if it has same kind of things ;)

ps. No offence AKX...

Edit: gah, uploaded the wrong file first, here's the new one :D

I have added a new string to the NLFs for the new AllowSkipFiles command. Please grab the latest CVS version and update your language's NLF.

The string is:

Error opening file for writing: \r\n\t"$0"\r\nHit retry to retry writing the file, or\r\ncancel to abort installation

A dubt about new Italian nlf
Hello,

If I have to translate "Hit retry" this means that there is a new button Retry.
I've not found it in the .nlf file so Retry button label will not translate in every language. Is it correct?

Fabrizio

Italian nlf
in attach

Fabrizio

The retry button is a Windows string and NSIS can't control it. Thank you for your update, uploaded.

OK,

Probably I've to translate reply with the correct italian windows translation.

Here is Croatian NLFv5.

hi

seems the french update hasn't been released yet ... here it is ;)

Polish v5 language file

Slovenian
Slovenian.. but i have NO idea how to test this.

Thanks, necromncr. Can you please update the NLF to v5? It's just another line.

To test your language file either take a MUI example and change !insertmacro MUI_LANGUAGE "English" to !insertmacro MUI_LANGUAGE "Slovenian" or just add it to one of the multi-languages examples.

Slovenian.... again
Here is some polished version, was going for examples:
- Here and
- here

still, my nsis says: Error while loading language file: Language file version doesn't match NSIS version!

And language ID is taken out of M$'s page, any other list that i overlooked?

*help?*

Regards!

Since you are creating language files for the latest CVS version you have to use them in the latest CVS version too. Use NSIS Update to get the latest CVS version (choose "Download the latest development files from CVS, merge your changes"). You'll need to make a few small changes to your script. It'll be mainly MUI changes, nothing too big.

The language ID you've found was actually the Slovenian codepage number. NSIS needs the language ID. Slovenian language ID is 1060. You can find out using <nsisdir>Bin\MakeLangID.exe.

Uploaded your translation, thanks.

Macedonian language
Here is macedonian update. I hope is correct.:D

All Modern UI langauge files have new version numbers

* Files with version 1.65 are up-to-date

* Files with version 1.64 have no LicenseForceSelection texts

* Files with version 1.63 have no abort texts and no LicenseForceSelection texts

NLF versions

* Files with version v5 are up-to-date

* Files with version v2/v3/v4 need to be updated (see the first post and previous topics)

If your language file does not have the 1.65 / v5 version, please update :D

There isn't an english.nsh v1.65 in cvs. Please, can you upload it to see the changes?

MoNKi, I have just given the files new version number, to make clear which ones have to be updated. Your files are up-to-date, so there is nothing you have to do :)

It might take up to 24 hours until the latest files are available from CVS (read the "CVS Issues" topic).

Ok. Thanks for your reply
