WriteINIStr vs. CreateShortcut
I mistakenly posted this in a thread I was looking at...and tried to delete it from the thread, but apparently don't have permissions to do that. So, please forgive this being posted in that other thread as well as in this new thread :)

This is probably just a newbie question, so it's probably simple to answer. I've been searching the forum on how to create an internet shortcut into IE Favorites/Desktop/Start Menu and I've found that it talks about "WriteINIStr". Do I need to use WriteINIStr to create shortcuts to webpages, or can I use CreateShortcut? Maybe I just don't understand what WriteINIStr is doing...which is a STRONG possibility. Thanks much!!

I recommend WriteINIStr....

Updated my web archive for create internet shorcuts....

Thanks Afrow ;)

Lobo, in your web archive script, what does 'SetShellVarContext "all"' do?

In machine with NT engine, like Windows NT, Windows 2000 Pro,
Windows XP, Windows 2003, the shortcut will appear in
all users accounts...
In the manual, read about it
