Reason for modern.exe?
Does anyone know if it is absolutely necessary to install the modern.exe along with the rest of your app's files?

I've been doing it because it was part of a sample script, but in testing, I've found that the install and uninstall work just fine without it.

Are there some features that require the modern.exe and if those features aren't being used, then it's just fine to skip it?

It's not necessary, it's just an example. In the new example files it has already been removed to avoid this confusion.
