verify correct CD inserted
Hello,
In my installed I have a basic message box asking for the
user to please insert disk #2 and then click ok.
Is there a way to verify that the person put the correct disk
in...because without verifing the installer can continue w/ the
wrong disk inserted and things just don't work correctly then.
Thanks,
Ryland

If it's a CD no one but you can write to it and therefore the simplest solution is to include a file with a unique name or contents to that CD.

ok so .. what I am getting is that if I have 3 CDs that I am installing from....I could put a file called say disk1, disk2 and disk3 on each prosective disk....then have a message box pop up asking to put in next disk...at that point have the instller verify that it sees the given files name (disk2) and to process if yes and to go back to message box if not found.
hmmmm..hope that is correct

Yea, that should work. It would probably be a good idea to include such a file in the ZIP file on the CD just to confirm.
