Desktop Folder Settings
I noticed that if I create a folder on the desktop its read only flag is set. That's not a great problem but I was wandering if it was possible to change that dehaviour.

Also is it possible to specify the folder iocn under Windows XP from within the installer?

I think it displays that because the desktop folder is read-only. The created folder itself is not.

To change the folder icon you'll have to create desktop.ini (which should be a system file), see MSDN for details.
