nsis error
i need help, 3 days ago i was on the internet opening up email with some pictures. Now evertime i go to start my computer i get a little red icon, it tells nis error installion failed maybe a virus disk falling or download that failed. How do i stop this please?

Some program you've used must have set some corrupted NSIS installer to run every time you start your computer. You should use msconfig to disable this program and prevent it from starting up with your computer. See Microsoft Knowledge Base for more information about msconfig.

kichik, i do think you are right, today i went to msconfig and did a
selective start-up the message is gone. do you have any idea, which program it could be. do i just do a select, and deselect on all the start-up items? the only programs i have from what came with this computer and mcafee virus scan and ad- subtract for pop-up ads?

If you could post a list of programs from the startup list in msconfig. I could tell you which of them are needed and which are not.
