Release Candidate 1
Release candidate 1 of NSIS 2, the popular win32 installer/uninstaller system, is out. NSIS 2 includes a new Modern UI, supports multiple languages and features an easy plugin system. NSIS is still the smallest win32 installer available, with an overhead of only 34 KB (with default options).
The most noticeable new features are LZMA compression which provides up to 20% better compression ratios, LogicLib library for easier scripting and a vastly improved silent installers support.

I wanted to say a few words because this release sums up over a year's work, but updating all of the little pages in the website and the late hour got the best of me ;) So I'll write something tomorrow.

Well, let me say something. Thank you.
I've used NSIS to create over a dozen different installers for Microsoft Flight Simulator packages. In the past two months, they've been downloaded over 2,400 times. None of this would have been possible without the work of all the NSIS contributors. You've done a great job.
Cheers!

I've just used the new LZMA compression and it's cool 8)
It saves me 400 KB on a 2.3 MB file - multiply that with a few thousand downloads and that'll save me heaps of bandwidth :D
