MUI_CUSTOMFUNCTION_DIRECTORY_PRE not used?
is MUI_CUSTOMFUNCTION_DIRECTORY_PRE the right thing to use for the pre define for the directory page of the new ui ?

does not seem to be used and the compiler removes the given function ..

Nope. That has been changed so you can define different callback functions for different pages. Use MUI_PAGE_CUSTOMFUNCTION_PRE.
