Pin to Start Menu from a Desktop icon
I've got an application on my machine which has "Pin to Start Menu" when you right click on the icon which is on the desktop.

How do you do this from NSIS?

i dont think ms wants you to add stuff to the pinned items list (bcuz of realplayer :) )

The following was taken from the Microsoft Development Library.

Only .exe files and shortcuts to .exe files have the Pin to Start Menu command in the shortcut menu.

Are yes, I see.

If I create a short cut to an EXE it provides the same information.

pin to start menu
I was wondering the same thing about using NSIS to pin the application being installed to the startup menu.

One link that I stumbled across is
