PROGRAMFILES in Japan
The documentation says that the variable :
$PROGRAMFILES
Is :
The program files directory (usually C:\Program Files but detected at runtime).
Does anyone knows what would this variable return on a Japanes machine?

Which OS are you attempting to run your installer on? I tried mine on both a Traditional Chinese and a Simplified Chinese, W2k, XP and 2003 boxes all work fine for me..... it also works on spanish, portuguesebr german and english.... I wonder if a Japanese OS install has some issue. Then again it does read backwards....
The OS I want my installer to run on is kanji .
I do not have a kanji machine and I am wondering what the $PROGRAMFILES would return on such a machine.

afaik, japanese windows also uses "program files". i guess that's because there's no japanese words for either "program" nor "files".
as my japanese flatmate isn't at home over summer, i cannot make sure. however, you can use google image search to make sure ;)
