Is there any existing software which could help track the installation of an app?
Hello all:
I try to silent install JMF, however after I got some help from this forum, the problem still cannot be resolved.
So I have to think another way.
My question is:
is there any software which could help track an application install procedure and log all activities an installation program does.
If it is possible, I could manually install JMF by useing copy and paste:_
thank you

If your app (JMF) use a .msi installer, or a recent installshield installer, you can use a free msi editor to see the content of the msi file. (If it uses installshield, the .msi file is probably somewhere in your "$profile\local settings\temp" folder)

Hello Kemenaran:
May you tell me where I can find that free msi editor?
thank you

Also I cannot find the MSI for java JMF installation program under the folder you indicated for me.
So probably, the only choice I can do for JMF is to manually copy files and write reg file.
thank you
