Linux installer
Hello,
I installed yesterday SteamPeak client on my Linux box. I was qurprised how the provided installer looked like an NSIS installer.
Do you now what they used ?
If not, what can I use to build Linux (and *NIX) installers ?
Thanks,
Matthieu

Good ,but a link to screenshots would be nice. To create installers to INSTALL on Linux Installshield X, but not opensource :(.
On OSX just create a .dmg or use the official OSX installer via .pkg files. One can use the free XCode 2.1 tools.
(Well you asked for *NIX, I had to promote OSX ;)
On Linux would sometimes be good to just link your libs so a user only has to drag a folder in a certain destination. Size is bigger yes, but at least the user can simply start USING the software... insted of puzzeling with scripts.
Ofcourse also a simple Googlesearch does wonders, and also an email to the manufacturer does sometimes wonders.
Success.
