dynamic splash image
I found that we can add a splash image before launching the program. How about to create a dynamic splash image? Say, I want to write a version number in the splash image. So the splash image should contain a read image with some text (a version number). I don't want to put the version number in the image together as it will be changed over and over and I need a graphic editor to edit it. Is it possible for NSIS to create such a dynamic splash image?

I don't know ready solutions, this may be a combination of improved NewAdvSplash (in the /BANNER mode) and Marquee plug-ins, but some new code required.
Minimum requirements for your task are font type, size, chartset and color (italic, bold, etc.). And text may still looks ugly near splash image (if your image is really good :) )

I updated plug-ins to support splash window text drawing, description available on wiki pages, version sample included to NewAdvSplash package.
