Problems with language display in NSIS
Hello,
I've been trying to make a Russian version of my installer but when the Russian text is displayed the characters are not Russian characters! I don't know why, but they seem to be various characters from European languages, and basically almost all the characters are the English alphabet with accents on them like "ÂûïîëÃ_Ã¥Ã_èå", for example. This is also how the contents of the Russian files of the source code appear when in a text editor. Further experimentation has shown that basically no languages that use a different character set display properly. Am I just missing something really simple here? Does anyone know what is wrong?
Thanks in advance for any help,
Hayden Devlin

Make sure Russian is selected as the language for non-Unicode applications in the Advanced tab of the Regional and Language Options control panel.

Or try the Unicode version of NSIS. :)

Hello.
I have the same problem as HaydenDevlin, but in Spanish. I searched the forum and posted a topic, with no result... :(
jimpark suggested to take a look to "the Unicode version of NSIS". What is this version??
I need help. If not, I will have to write my strings with lots of ortographic mistakes... ;)
Thanks.

Look for the "Unicode" thread in this forum. This has information about the Unicode build of NSIS.
