just some n00by questions
firstly, hello to everyone, I'm new here.

so, my questions are:

(1) what LZMA SDK is the latest NSIS using?
I have the impression you guys stuck to 4.23.
do correct me if I'm wrong.

(2) what about including other compression algorithms in NSIS?
anybody here know about KGB?
to my surprise, 7-Zip 4.57 @ 64 MB dictionary did worse than WinAc3 2.69i @ 4 MB. :weird:

(3) what's with the 2 GB limit? is it there to prevent something? :confused:

The 2GB limit is due to Win9x IIRC.

OK I'll let go of the 2 GB restriction thing.

but what about the compression?
I don't know.. I guess enough people are satisfied with it as it is.. hmmmmm.

PAQ is GPL which is an incompatible license.
