automatic extension of folder name (postfix)?
Hi

Is there in NSIS any option to extend the target folder name with an postfix, if the target folder name already exists?

On one computer of our customers i have the problem, there exists two folders with the same name (almost). The fist chars differ in upper and lower case.

For example:
C:\Upgrades\upgrd345
C:\Upgrades\Upgrd345(2)

Now we down't know from where is the folder with the postfix (2)? Is this 'normal' in NSIS or was this changed by an user?

First off, windows does not care about the case of a file/folder

NSIS will not do anything like adding (x) to a path if it exists

I think so too.
This is not repeatable. But when i ask him, he says "i have done nothing". ;-)

Thank you very much for your reply.
