nsx or nsdialog ?
Hi,
i would like to update my scripts according the nsis last version (2.45).
I was using nxs plugin to show dialog with timer and progress bar when i am doing long time action.
i'm wondering if this can be done with nsdialog, or nsdialog is only for creating custom page ?

you -can- do it with nsDialogs (you can create a progress bar, a cancel button, and it has a rudimentary timer (which is convenient, but apparently not proper)), but.. if Nxs works for you - why change?

Thanks Animaether for your answer.
I know that i can create progress bar and other control but i wonder if they can be shown in a dialog at any time during the setup process ? or if you can only show them in a custom page.
I would like to change because nsdialog is maintained and updated whereas nxs is not. In addition plugin system has been updated (moreover on plugin using /NOUNLOAD) with NSIS 2.4X.

nsDialogs only works as a custom page; not as a pop-up dialog.

Though I think I remember somebody having compiled a version that lets you make popup dialogs; but the search functionality is failing me in finding it, so that might have been a figment of imagination :)

ah.. of course the moment I go to close the search results, the obvious stares me in the face.. search terms 'nsdialogs window' %)
