Archive: Translating NSIS

I want to translate NSIS in French. Must the translated header size be the original header size ?

I sent an email to Nullsoft Developper Support (nsdn@winamp.com) about that in January 2001. Here it is :
----------------------------------------------------------
Hello there,
I am actually translating Nullsoft SuperPiMP in French and I have some problems. My exehead.exe (SuperPiMP header) is 44544 bytes and the original makensis.exe (supplied with your SDK 1.0h) makes 53248 bytes headers.

I can build exehead.exe and makenssi.exe. I can compile NSI scripts (scripts do not have any error) also. But when I execute the generated program, I have an error message in a MessageBox, which can found in exehead\main.c on line 121:

MessageBox(NULL,"Error finding install data",g_caption,MB_OK);

What is the structure of a SuperPiMP executable? I think that the different size of my header is the source of the problem. Where I have to change code?

Help is very appreciated. Sincerly yours,

Translation
I asked a similar question a few weeks ago. Justin told me that he's working on the strings which must mean that some re-organization is neccessary. I'm not sure what the current status is.
I would probably translate NSIS into German.

As far as translation is concerned, we ought to co-ordinate who does which language and which part of NSIS, when the time comes.

Henri

Ressource reorganisation is required
When I tried to translate SuperPiMP 1.0h, a lot of strings were in the code. It would be easier to put those strings in a *.rc file and build language distribution files as a source code add-on.
