Q: why is this icon wrong?
Hello,
In attach you can see the ico I'd like to use.
When I see it with file manager it's 4 yellow squares.
When I use it with NSIS is completely different.
Why the ICO is wrong?
Can you suggest me how can I change it?
Thanks
Fabrizio

new icon
hi sanface,
your iconfile contained 2 icons. Attached is a new zip file with the old and new icon file. The new only has 32x32x16. This should work.
good luck, greetz, Hendri.

Thanks but ...
Smile2Me,
Thanks for your note and your zip, but if I see the 2 icons with file manager the old is like I'd like and the new is like nsis use and it's not correct. Probably the person made me the icon made it wrong. So the bigger is correct and the smaller is wrong :(
What's tool I can use to make a new correct icon?

hi fabrizio,
there are a lot of different tools to create icons,
try visiting http://www.google.com
and type "icon editor".
I use Axialis Ax-Icons:
http://www.axialis.com
but it's shareware. It's a nice tool but maybe there are also free tools available on the net.
But if you tell me what to do, i can send you a zipfile...
Question: i have posted a 32x32x16 icon for you in the zip (logo new.ico). Should your icon be even bigger???

hi fabrizio,
ok, a new zip file:
-logo.ico (the original icon)
-logo 16x16x16.ico
-logo 32x32x16.ico
Just choose the one you like.
If you have other requests or questions, tell me.
greetz, Hendri.

You can create icons in mspaint. Just go to "Image"->"Attributes" and set the sizse to 32x32 pixels. When you save it remember to save it as a 16 colour bmp. Then simply change the extension from .bmp to .ico
