InstallOptions - [Control Placement Tool] v0.05.0003 (cryptic, eh?)
January 15th, 2002
===================

To start off, I would like to apologize for the length of time it has taken me to complete this project. Basically, I procrastinated forever, then decided to do it. I worked on it last night and this afternoon, probably 2-3 hours in all.

This version, as I am sure you are well aware, falls well short of the original version, which was a whole GUI that encompassed every bit of InstallOptions scripting; this version merely allows you to move and size the controls. It also gives you the option of generating a .INI file after you have placed/sized your controls the way you want.

Tutorial
===================

Run IOcpt.exe, which is the the Desktop\morphedmedia.com\IOcpt folder by default. This will bring up the main screen of the program.

After you have done that, use the left mouse button to drag a control into the black outlined box (this box represents the NSIS window). Once a control is moved into the box, it can only be moved using the right mouse button.

You may size your controls by clicking the control you want to size, then editing the two text boxes (Width & Height) at the bottom part of the screen. The black border on the controls will stay in the same place, but the control itself will size accordingly. Note: please remember, sizes are in pixels :)

Once you have moved and sized everything the way you would like, goto the File menu and click the Save Layout to INI submenu. This will bring up a box asking for the filename (you can add the extension .ini, or not) and hit OK. This will save the file. Once the file has been generated and written to, a box will popup displaying the exact location of your file.

That is it! Not very hard.

I hope this tool comes in handy when you are making an installer. If there are any bugs (any at all) email dan@morphedmedia.com. I will try to fix the problem immediately.
