splash-bmp and shadow ?

it would be nice to have the option to display a shadow with the splash-bmp.

can i do this ?

right now this is not possible, since splashscreen does not support semi-transparency (like PNG). but you can cheat a little using the existing transparency features of the splashscreen plugin (solid shadow or checkered shadow, try playing around).
