Customizing Welcome Page text

I don't know why can't find an example of how to do this. I've got the idea you include custom text in an ini file, but could someone give an example please.

-Is there any way one can make just a few words turn up bold or italic inside the customized page text(like in for instance the MUI_WELCOMEPAGE_TEXT)?

No, you'll have to add different labels.
