Full-fledged updater?

Hi,

I'm currently checking out the different commercial solutions available to add auto-updating to our VB applications à la Yahoo/MSN, and since NSIS seems to have all the features (download, read/write INI, generate MD5 hashing, create patches, copying files through the LAN for customers that only have one host connected to the Net, etc.), I was wondering if someone had put all those bits together and came up with a complete solution to...

1. on the developer's host, generate a package and upload to the www/FTP

2. on the customer's host, provide a small, universal client that can download the required info and bits?

AfrowUK (Stu) created a nifty app that I think is the closest to what you're looking for (ddayupdater). I'm unsure if he's ever made the NSIS source available, but you could PM here on the forum and ask. 🙂
