Download plugin and proxy auth

Hello,

does anybody know how to pass proxy settings to download plugin (proxy name, port + username/password)? As I can read in this forum, a year ago download plugin didn't support proxy auth.

And there's no way and no another plugin available? So I need to use external means like wget etc?

There might be command-line programs that allow for Proxy authentication... You should try Googling.
