Needed indio codecs- causing hangup?

I am having a problem running the vis. It seems that a preset I've recently aquired hangs-up the application and prompts to download current codecs from Indio. I went to Indio and they're of course selling it for $14.95. Upon deciding that this was too steep for a codec to enable one preset, I then proceed to try to identify and remove the suspect preset/plug-in. The the real fun started. I got it to load up again, But it would not let me enter configuration and view the name, etc. At this point it brought my system, (a stout AMD/Gigabyte K-8NN series), to a grinding halt. Now every time it runs I crash. Still don't know who's brave sales tool this is. They can have it back though. Also I was very sad to hear about the Lama sleeping with the ENEMY. I feel more ignorant than ever. I hope he dos'nt catch anything that he can't get rid of. Or else he will never be allowed in our house again. Loveable though he may be.

You've got the wrong forum, amigo. I have no idea what forum this should be in, but it's definitely not related to NSIS. I'll move this to Winamp Technical Support for now, because that'd the best I can think of. You will have to register if you wish to post on that forum.

Huh? Sorry to ask this, are you serious? I have never heard of a visualization preset needing a Codec. Codecs are for audio/video media files, not for preset files. Nothing aginst you, but this sounds very dodgy to me. Anyways, if you "recently aquired" the preset or plug-in then is it a third party component and is not associated with Nullsoft/Winamp.

All I can suggest at this time is to try a full uninstall > reinstall (AKA clean install) of Winamp.

As kichik mentioned, you will need to register on the forums to reply or post here.
