about scsi disk

i want make a inistall.
it can scan disk type:
if it is scsi disk: inistall sptd.
if it isn't scsi disk: overleap sptd.

so i want to know how can i scan disk type?

but it's too difficulty for me.

I don't know how this works on Win9x, but on XP-2000 you can scan HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\HARDWARE\DEVICEMAP\Scsi. System maps atapi devices to this section as well, but you can find real scsi.
