WriteRegStr broken in Vista?

I'm getting indications that WriteRegStr fails under Vista beta 2. Can anyone reproduce this or have any idea why it's failing? Details are in the below tracker:

Make sure you understand UAC on Vista first. Most of the problems are because the Elevated rights in Vista are not well understood.
