Problem with InstallOptionsEx.dll

Hello ,

I have been using the InstallOptionsEx.dll for about 6 - 7 months now. I really love it.

So it hurts me if there are any problems caused by it. Recently i am facing a strange problem while using DirRequest in the Uninstall Custom page.
(Have reinstalled windows , NSIS and HMSEDIT also)

Attached herewith is a zip file that contains the following :

- error.jpg : the problem that comes when i select a
folder and click next
- uninst.exe : The exe that causes the error
- uninstalltest.nsi : The script file
- backupdatabaseOne.ini : the InstallOptions file

Pls have a look at the problem and do suggest a remedy.

I have WinXP pro , NSIS 2.15 and your InstallOptionsEx Created on 24/2/2006

Thanks in advance

I don't see InstallOptionsEx used in that script. Are you sure you've attached the right script? Also, on which page exactly does it crash?

Actually, he renamed InstallOptionsEx -> InstallOptions in this case.

Uggh... Thanks, but I still need to come back to full development, which I don't really like much when I have school =(.

Hi,

Yes Deguix is right, i have renamed InstallOptionsEx to InstallOptions.

Also the error is caused when we select a Folder using the DirRequest Button in the INI file and then click Next. If we dont use that button then the error does not occur.

Would appreciate if this problem can be solved urgently. the D-Line for our project is approaching fast.

Not at the moment... sorry. Coding in C/C++ is soo ugly, I'm afraid even to touch my own code. Even if the plug-in is a good idea, it's, for me, hax. 😢 Please use InstallOptions for now.

I will read this during the holidays.

I prepare an unofficial debugged version of InstallOptionEx for using it with my UltraModernUI beta2 (currently 8 bugs corrected!).
I will released it with the first test version of UMUI beta2
