Detecting firewall

hello,
my problem is quite simple. i need to detect the firewall that is currently running on the end users sytem as well as the antivirus system. any reg settings? because i have been assigned to make an installer for my team's torrent program so i need to tell the user what to do.

I think since Windows XP SP2 sdk there are some apis that will help you. I think making a plugin of it would be more propiate than making a system code procedure.
