what's that UI?

i noticed Instructor has been using an extremely minimal user interface for the installer for some of his functions. is it available anywhere?

I think it's "tiny" which is included into UIs.

It's not done with NSIS. I't Instructors own little plugin installer thinggy. NsProcess package has the source code for that install app too. 🙂

this is what it looks like and it produces a 9kb (!) installer

That 9kb install.exe is not a NSIS installer and its source code is available in the Source directory of each ZIP. In the registry plug-in ZIP, it's under Source\Desktop-install and Source\PocketPC-install.
