icon problem

i have changed my application logo(icon file).

but still sometimes control panel and start menu shows the old icon of my application.

how to get the new icon displayed permanently?

Have you tried emptying the Windows icon cache?

any idea how to clear it programatically through NSIS.

The answer is right there if you google for 'clear windows icon cache', why didn't you try searching the answer for yourself?

(Just delete the cache file.)
