How much effort would it take to parse posts for forum links, and replace them with their new URLs?
What does this mean for NSIS?

i've been thinking about that. a regex pattern with nearly 20,000 thread ids could be tough though. at the moment all forum links have a internet archive-prefix.Originally Posted by MSG View PostHow much effort would it take to parse posts for forum links, and replace them with their new URLs?
i also noticed some minor troubles with posts containing tags for php code. seems like the syntax changed over different versions of vbulletin. will fix those issues over time.
my main problem right now is that i'm not using a scripting language for all these operations. it was easier testing my regex patterns using sublime text, so in the end i sticked with that. search & replace with 5-8 pattners is relatively little work, but of course a scripted solution would be nice to have.
NSIS Forum replacement?
Well i know it's not really related to NSIS itself but was just curious as i couldn't really find an info on this.
As the Winamp shutdown also affects the NSIS section of this Forum.
Is there already a replacement Forum for NSIS?
Or will it perhaps continue on Winamp Enthusiasts Forum ?

We will probably move to the cockos forum...
There's no thread about it. http://www.cockos.com is run by the same guy who created Winamp and NSIS (among other bits of software), which is why it's a great option to move over there.
Oh ok. Thanks for clearing that up. 🙂Originally Posted by JasonFriday13 View PostThere's no thread about it. http://www.cockos.com is run by the same guy who created Winamp and NSIS (among other bits of software), which is why it's a great option to move over there.
That makes sense and i would say the logical conclusion. (hopefully)
If you guys are interested in the movement, a couple of the product developers also created this new site:
If you talk to DrO, I'm sure he'd be willing to give you a section there. It has been gaining a lot of popularity in the past month or so.

Hmm i joined gittip but I am the only one there + you 🙂
For few days NSIS forums were not accessible for me but today they are working fine.
Does anyone know what is happening?
