New tool - RAD & Installer for Embarcadero RAD Studio

I would like to present my tool called RAD & Installer:

RAD Studio extension for creating NSIS installers. It integrates NSIS (Nullsoft Scriptable Install System) with Embarcadero RAD Studio IDE and allows you to create and build NSIS projects right within RAD Studio getting all benefits of common integrated environment!

[+] Implemented Run last Build for NSIS projects. As Run (F9) or Run Without Debugging (Shift + Ctrl + F9) cannot be used for compilation (projects need to be fully Build) these keyboard shortcuts launch last succesfully built installer (if exists).

We have released new version of RAD & Installer. Changes in 1.0.1.8:

• Refactoring support for NSIS and Inno Setup (variables, symbols, functions, procedures, ...). Results are shown in Find References Window
• Default shortcut is Ctrl+Shift+Enter (or use Context Menu). Double-clicking the result item moves the cursor to appropriate line in script file.
• It is possible to copy content of Find References Window into Clipboard (as text)
• Changed all NSIS icons to NSIS 3 style everywhere - also on this website and in the manual.
• RAD Studio 10.2 Tokyo has become the main platform for development (Pascal). Old RAD Studios are still supported! (This is only for better comfort of our developers.)
• Whole GUI has been reworked. All RAD Studio versions and editions use modern style (colors, icons, forms, dialogs, ...)
• MessageBox Designer now shows new line characters ($\r $\n %n #13#10) correctly in Preview dialog
• Fixed issues with Administrator rights and generating hw.data and license.key file
• Installer: Default installation path has been changed from C:\Program Files (x86)\RAD & Installer\ to C:\ProgramData\RAD & Installer\.
• Page creator and Page leave functions (functions for custom pages used in Page or UninstPage commands) have custom icons (in Navigation Bars and Code Insight Code Completion) in NSIS scripts
• NSIS Compiler now handles recursive errors correctly, errors in macros and included files or symbols, multiline errors in directives (!system, !execute, !define). Fixed processing multiline errors (commands MessageBox, CreateShortcut, ExecShell, FileSeek, InstProgressFlags, SetFileAttributes) and registry related commands (DeleteRegKey, DeleteRegValue, EnumRegKey EnumRegValue, ReadRegDWORD, ReadRegStr, WriteRegBin, WriteRegDWORD, WriteRegStr, WriteRegExpandStr). Added warning messages with correct usage of these commands
• We fixed most of the issues with interfaces, but still an AV Exception may occur when closing IDE (bds.exe). Sorry for this inconvenience.

• Added new setting DisableMainMenu (must be created manually in HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\unSigned\RAD & Installer\Settings, Dword value 1), which prevents crashing when IDE is being closed (the side effect is RAD & Installer menu item is missing).

  Currently Inno Setup 7 is in beta (7.0.0-beta), but it is pretty stable and we recommend it to use.
• Support for RAD Studio 13.1 Florence (all editions: Architect, Enterprise, Professional, Starter, Community; version 13.1 (March 2026)

  Note: RAD & Installer expert is still 32 bit only and currently works in 32 bit IDE only (64 bit IDE will not detect it).
• Support for NSIS 3.12 (see changes), also supports unofficial 64 bit version from https://github.com/negrutiu/nsis
• Support for Graphical Installer for NSIS, Build 2026.1 and Graphical Installer Wizard (see changes) - both 32 bit and 64 bit
• We are working on 64 bit version of RAD & Installer expert itself - for 64 bit RAD Studio IDE (13 Florence and newer).
  This will eventually lead to drop support of older IDEs (Delphi 2009, 2010, XE - XE7). For these very old IDEs the version 1.0.4.X will be available while version 1.0.5.X will be for new IDEs only.
  Upgrade soon to not lost most recent features.
