Detect AVS Version?

most emails i get concerning my avs-presets are people asking me why their machines can't play mine presets. mostly the reason is not having an up to date version of avs. is there a function that queries for the version of avs and sends a message window to notify the user to download the required version?

just download the latest version of Winamp...I can't post it because it is too big even when zipped.

I like my Winamp the way it is, lite. Besides:

Must people upgrade to the latest Winamp to get the latest AVS version? Is there absolutely no way to get AVS without updating Winamp?

by the way, killahbyte, this might be impossible because the vis_avs.dll file does not show the version, and some digging would be required to extract the version number.
